Sprinklers & Drip Systems - Arizona's 1st Choice Landscaping

Welcome to our Sprinkler and Drip Systems page. Here at Arizona's 1st Choice we feel that quality work is extremely important when planning out and installing a home irrigation system. We use only the best products and purchase them from our wholesaler directly rather than buying non-commercial products. Our main choice for irrigation timers would have to be Rain Bird. We believe they are the industry leaders and make a fantastic product. When we install an irrigation system for you, we take our time and thoroughly check every move that we make to prevent from having to return to fix any mistakes later (we rather return to your home to do more work rather than fix our mistakes). Once you agree to have us come in and make your life easier by having an irrigation system installed, a member of our design team will come by and explain the process to you and you will then choose what type of heads and timer are right for you and your budget.

Sprinklers Irrigation System

When we first install an irrigation system for you we call Blue Line and have them mark all underground utilities and pipes so you are not inconvenienced by an outage. Once Blue Line completes their job, we come in and trench your property in accordance to where the lines need to be placed. Once the job is trenched we then proceed to install your backflow Pressure Vacuum Breaker onto your home. While all of this is going to one or two members, our build team will start to cut and glue your sprinkler lines together. (We do not believe in "down sizing" your sprinkler lines like most do to save them money and increase profit. We strongly believe if you are able to use a 1" pipe or larger than do so. Why take away pressure that you have when you can use it to your advantage. So that means our anti-siphon valves do not go from 1" down to 3/4" but stay 1".) We make sure your sprinkler lines are the biggest you can use which is usually 1". The 1" pipe is ran through your yard and then just before it hits the sprinkler head it is T'd off into a 3/4 to allow maximum sprinkler pressure. Once all the pipes are glued together and all the lines are where they are needed we then build your Anti Siphon Valve system and place in where it is mostly convenient for you. Then we hook up your timer and back flush any dirt from your system. Once all this has been completed, we then place the sprinkler heads into place and turn your system on once again to check for any leaks before we bury any lines. When we determine there are no leaks and all the heads are working properly, we then proceed to bury all the lines and clean up.

Drip Systems

Welcome to our Drip system part of the page, let me explain a little about how our drip systems are set up and installed for you to make your life a whole lot easier. First we figure out a rough number of plants you would like placed on the drip lines, Its not a big deal to add or change things later since a drip line is made from polypropylene piping and not from PVC. We call in Blue Line and have them mark all underground utilities for pipes and wires to save everyone a hassle of breaking something. Once that is done, we start to trench out where the polypropylene pipe will be placed. We bury our polypropylene pipe at least 12" into the earth to ensure it doesn't pop up and show later in life. Once the trenches are dug we lay the pipe into place and start to poke holes into it and add our spaghetti wire (the actual name is micro tubing) . The spaghettis are long tubes that go from the main 1/2 polypropylene pipe to your plants and feed them the water they need. Once we placed all of our spaghettis to where it needs to go, we then flush the system to clean out any dirt or debris that might have got into the system during install, this also makes sure no drips get clogged later. Once we have drained the system we then place the drip heads onto the spaghettis line and turn the system on once again to check for more leaks. When we determine there are no leaks in the system, we bury the lines and then proceed to hook up the anti-siphon valve and filter. Once this is all completed, we set your timer for your watering schedule and your life has been made much easier.

Your drip lines are not only limited to being underground or to plants in the ground. We would be more than happy to extend them into your potted plants and onto patios for future watering needs. Feel free to ask about placing additional heads where future plants might be and we can put a line up to it with a plug so it does not emit any water until you are ready. Drip lines make the perfect addition to your sprinkler system to water plants during winter or for precise watering.
